The municipality of Guanabacoa and José Martí: an indissoluble bond

Knowledge and dissemination of José Martí's career and work in Cuba is essential for the study of his life and work, although it is still insufficient.This is the case between the capital municipality of Guanabacoa and José Martí.Despite this, the link between the two is evident in Martí's time in the town, in the relationships he established with local figures, and in his contributions to local newspapers and cultural institutions, which became a patriotic platform.It should be noted that the correspondence between the National Hero and the town is demonstrated by the existence of numerous sources and documentary objects that are preserved in the Municipal Historical Museum and analyzed in this work.
