Abstract

Traditional medicine is part of human knowledge that has prevailed to this day. This vast knowledge, which we now refer to as "botanical," has been passed down from generation to generation by Mexican families.Sadly, this knowledge has been lost from the collective memory of the inhabitants of these communities.Traditional medicine does not only exist in Mexico, as we know, but has been created throughout the world at different times and has undergone transformations. However, this safeguarding plan will focus on traditional medicine in communities within the states, which is still used by a minority of inhabitants, very few of whom still identify with that culture. This practice is still very well received by some residents, but it is necessary to disseminate information about it and safeguard it so that it is not lost.
