Reforming the United Nations Organization 80 years after its creation from the global south
Abstract
Eighty years have passed since the emergence of the United Nations. In that time, various critical junctures have taken place, yet the phenomenology of war continues without showing signs of disappearing.Despite this, the complex core of the universal organizational system has remained practically unchanged, with only limited modifications, mostly quantitative rather than qualitative.Today, the functioning of the United Nations faces a series of highly complex political processes in the international system that are reshaping its position in the global power game and in the world political system with which it interacts and from which it draws feedback.Within this complex political interaction, clear signs of its obsolescence and ineffectiveness have become evident.
