Abstract

This study aims to analyze flood disaster preparedness in Bengkulu City through risk mapping and data visualization. Given the high rainfall and vulnerable topographic conditions, flood disasters pose a serious threat to the community. The data used in this research was obtained from the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) and the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) of Bengkulu City. A quantitative method was applied to collect and analyze data related to disaster occurrences, mitigation actions, and rainfall patterns. The results indicate that integrating data from both sources provides a better understanding of disaster risks and the factors influencing them. This study also identifies challenges in evacuation training programs and community involvement, as well as the importance of data updates to improve preparedness and response to disasters. It is expected that the findings of this research can serve as a reference for the government and the public in disaster mitigation efforts in Bengkulu City.
