Abstract

Personalized prosthodontics is an innovative approach in restorative dentistry that focuses on designing and creating dental prostheses tailored to the unique anatomical, functional, and aesthetic needs of individual patients. This chapter explores the integration of advanced technologies, including digital imaging, 3D scanning, computer-aided design (CAD), and 3D printing, which enable the development of highly accurate and customized prostheses. The use of these technologies allows for a more precise fit, improved comfort, and enhanced aesthetic outcomes in prosthodontic treatments, including crowns, bridges, dentures, and implants. Additionally, the chapter delves into the importance of material science in prosthodontics, discussing the evolution of biocompatible materials that mimic natural teeth in both form and function. Emphasizing patient-centered care, the chapter highlights how personalized prosthodontics can address individual factors such as occlusion, facial symmetry, and oral health, leading to better functional outcomes and patient satisfaction. The future of personalized prosthodontics promises further advancements through digital workflows and innovations in biomaterials, positioning it as a transformative field in modern dentistry.
