A Computational Approach Using System Dynamics Modeling to Analyzing Employment Outcomes of Local Teacher Trainees
Abstract
This study investigates the employment quality and development trends of local teacher trainees by applying a system dynamics model to capture the complex interactions among individual, institutional, societal, and policy factors. Drawing on a mixed dataset — comprising questionnaire responses from 406 teacher trainees at Zhengzhou Normal University and official educational statistics — the model integrates variables such as career aspirations, family support, curriculum quality, and labor market demand. The analysis emphasizes the critical roles of career services, curriculum quality, and government policies in shaping employment outcomes. Simulation of alternative policy scenarios suggests that enhancements in these areas can lead to substantial improvements in employment quality. By integrating system dynamics modeling into the study of teacher employment, this research offers a holistic perspective on the causal mechanisms and feedback loops underlying employment decisions, providing actionable insights for policy design and educational planning in the Chinese context.
