Abstract

This study demonstrates that absolute nothingness within space-time is logically, structurally and epistemologically impossible. Nothingness can only be conceived as nothingness by being distinguished from being, and this distinction already constitutes information. An information-free state is therefore inconceivable, since difference is the minimal condition for any form of determinability. From this premise it follows that the universe can have neither an absolute beginning nor an absolute end. A beginning would require a completely information-free state from which no difference could emerge, while an end would require the total elimination of all differences, relations and possibilities. Both conditions are structurally impossible. To resolve this paradox, the study introduces dimension 0 (D = 0) as the minimal dimension of maximum possibility density. Dimension 0 is not a spatial or temporal dimension, but a level of information without energy or space-time, in which all potential differences exist in an unrealised state. Closely related is the concept of the super-nothingness, understood as a universal information connection and transition space between pure possibility and realised physical order. Within the framework of Holistic and Global Information Theory, the universe is therefore not understood as a completed event with a beginning and an end, but as an eternal process of information differentiation, realisation and transformation. Eternity is not defined as infinite time, but as the structural necessity of information and difference.
