Reivindicar el Cuerpo Sentipensante en la Escuela: Hacía una Pedagogía Corporal Emancipadora desde Orlando Fals Borda
Abstract
This article proposes an emancipatory corporal pedagogy for schools, specifically grounded in the concept of the sentipensante (feeling–thinking) body developed by Orlando Fals Borda. This pedagogical approach is presented as a response to, and a critical discussion of, the ways in which schooling has traditionally operated under a logic of banking education and the implementation of bodily disciplining practices. These practices have resulted in the fragmentation of reason and emotion and, additionally, in the invisibilization of contemporary diversities. An emancipatory corporal pedagogy reclaims the body as an epistemological territory, understood as a source of situated knowledge; as a political subject, a space that enables resistance against symbolic violence; and as an agent of transformative praxis, promoting changes in practices through Participatory Action Research (PAR).
