Abstract

The producers of cantons of the Soconusco Region of the State of Chiapas, are immersed in a social symbiosis characterized by the complexity of the sector, and the need to generate the indispensable links to supply the requirements that allow the subsistence of their productive activity. In this sense, the objective of this article is to make visible that the symbiotic relationships of coffee growers acquire characteristics that are resignified or that continue in order to solve their needs for productive subsistence. The method used was through a sociobiological and ethnographic approach, three categories of symbiotic associations were considered at the subject level, focused on producers, who are part of a social organization or who are independent. One of the outstanding findings was the existence of symbiotic mutualistic or commensalistic relationships between coffee producers, with coffee being the main source of income and work
