Abstract

Virtual work has become an effective option for adaptation in the post-pandemic period, presenting specific elements that differ from previous contexts. This study analyzed subjective adjustment to working virtually from home among 173 employees from two water treatment technology companies in Colombia. Through a factor analysis of eight scales, self-efficacy, work interdependence and independence, organizational support, and the virtual work environment were identified as key factors for adaptation. No significant differences in adjustment were found across different generations. Due to the limited sample size, future research is recommended to explore latent and moderating variables related to adjustment to virtual work.
