Desarrollo de Habilidades Blandas y Duras en la Implementación de las Células de Manufactura Virtual
Abstract
This study focused on optimizing fixed asset inventory control at the Instituto Tecnológico de Pachuca over a defined period, integrating both technical (hard) and interpersonal (soft) skill development among the personnel responsible for this management. The proposal included key strategies such as analysis of the current system, designing standardized procedures for the reception, classification, and delivery of movable property under chapter 5000, as well as recording backlogged inventory from 2016–2020 into the SIBISEP system. Institutional timelines were met by submitting quarterly reports known as "cédulas trimestrales" to TecNM. Virtual manufacturing cells were introduced to assign, track, validate, and monitor SKU codes, and a designated space was enabled to improve the handling of low-value storage. The methodology relied on Excel-based tools to facilitate the classification, analysis, and efficient organization of processes within the Department of Material Resources and Services. Key outcomes included significant improvements in inventory registration and control in SIBISEP, timely report submissions, enhanced accuracy in tracking chapter 5000 assets, and an innovative implementation of inventory collection using video camera footage with proper SKU code assignment. This work demonstrates that balancing technical competencies with interpersonal skills is essential to strengthening institutional management and achieving outstanding results. It is recommended that inventory oversight be entrusted to trained personnel, encouraging ongoing skill development to minimize bottlenecks and enhance organizational processes.
