OTIMIZAÇÃO DOS PROCESSOS DE GESTÃO EM SAÚDE PARA O CUIDADO DE PACIENTES E TRABALHADORES DE SAÚDE COM DOENÇAS CRÔNICAS
Abstract
The general objective of this article is to present a brief conceptualization of chronic diseases, and specifically to indicate how health system models and technology can help in addressing difficulties, so that patients and healthcare professionals can improve care and quality of life. Data published by the World Health Organization (WHO) indicate that worldwide, approximately 18 million deaths were reported in 2021 due to so-called Non-Communicable Chronic Diseases (NCDs). To optimize health management, it is necessary to combine the improvement of healthcare models, technology for data processing, and management strategies that lead to assertive decision-making regarding the use of resources, professional qualification, expansion of care, humanized management, and humanized treatment of the patient, who is also an agent in their care process. A descriptive and qualitative literature review was conducted, using scientific articles and official documents. It was concluded that the adoption of best practices is linked to the development of strategies that encompass technological tools for data collection and processing, improved diagnostics and resource management, enhancing care and management flows, as well as community involvement and awareness that the patient is also an agent of care in the pursuit of quality of life.
