Abstract

This study analyzes the integration and encouragement of active methodologies in Portuguese language teaching based on the Brazilian National Common Curriculum Base (BNCC). The main objective is to analyze the theoretical articulations in the BNCC that promote the adoption of active methodologies, identifying how the proposed competencies and skills reflect a pedagogical approach centered on the student, problem-solving, and the contextualization of knowledge. The methodology employed is a documentary analysis of the BNCC. The results demonstrate that, although the term 'active methodologies' is not explicitly used, this is a qualitative bibliographic research, focusing on the analysis explicitly in the BNCC glossary. The document establishes a framework that converges towards the implementation of these innovative approaches, including digital information and communication technologies (ICTs), representing a promising path for the effective implementation of the BNCC in Portuguese language teaching. In conclusion, the integration of these methodologies is essential for a more equitable, contextualized, and transformative education, empowering students to be the protagonists of their learning and aligning with contemporary educational demands.
