Abstract

This article analyzes the importance of pedagogical practices in the integral development of children in Early Childhood Education, considering educational intentionality as an essential element for meaningful learning. The study is a qualitative bibliographic research based on authors who discuss the role of the teacher, the organization of the environment and social interactions as determining factors in child development. The analysis shows that well-planned pedagogical practices, sensitive to the needs of childhood, favor cognitive, social, emotional and affective development, promoting autonomy, creativity and active participation. Educational experiences mediated by the teacher strengthen bonds and expand learning possibilities. It is concluded that intentional pedagogical work, combined with welcoming and stimulating environments, is fundamental for children’s integral development and for the quality of education in Early Childhood Education.
