NEUROCIÊNCIAS E AUTISMO: CONTRIBUIÇÕES PARA A COMPREENSÃO E INTERVENÇÃO EDUCACIONAL
Abstract
This article analyzes the interface between neuroscience and autism spectrum disorder (ASD), highlighting how neuroscientific advances have contributed to early diagnosis, understanding of neurobiological characteristics, and the development of more effective educational interventions. This qualitative and bibliographic research seeks to clarify how studies on brain function in individuals with ASD can support more inclusive and evidence-based pedagogical practices. Topics such as neuroplasticity, neural circuits involved in social behavior, the importance of early stimulation, and the implications of scientific discoveries for school environments are addressed. It is concluded that the intersection between neuroscience and education is a promising field for strengthening inclusive strategies and respecting the cognitive specificities of autistic students.
