Communities, educational centers, and online forums were used to recruit the participants so that they are represented with respect to their demographic characteristics, including age, gender, and cultural background. The Social Media Use Scale, Self-Image Test, and Body Appreciation Scale were used to collect the data. The Statistical Package of Social Sciences (SPSS) version 24 was used to test the statistics. The analysis of the relationships between the variables was conducted through Pearson correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, and mediation analysis using the PROCESS macro were conducted.
