SIMULASI PENGENDALIAN OVERLOAD PADA HOIST CRANE
Abstract
A hoist crane is a type of crane specifically designed to lift and move loads. Overloading of a hoist crane occurs when the load being lifted exceeds the crane's maximum capacity, which can cause damage to the crane and even endanger the operator. This simulation design utilises cx-programmer software as the main control in the form of a ladder diagram and cx-designer software as a monitoring tool that displays input and output indicators in HMI (Human-Machine Interface) format. The simulation that has been compiled is then operated and tested by monitoring the inputs and outputs that appear on the HMI. Weights ranging from 0 to 2699 kg (safe load) are indicated by a green light. Weights ranging from 2700 to 3000 kg (load approaching the safe limit, still liftable) are indicated by a yellow light. Weights ≥ 3001 kg (excess load) are indicated by a red light. The load weight affects the power used; for a weight of 1000 kg, 1.22 kW of power is required. For 1500 kg, 1.83 kW of power is required. For 2000 kg, 2.45 kW of power is required. For a weight of 2500 kg, 3 kW of power is required. And for 3000 kg, 3.6 kW of power is required. The entire simulation process shows that the integration between the ladder diagram (control) and HMI (visualisation) can function synchronously and effectively, in accordance with the design and objectives that have been set.
