Influence of Service Capability and Organizational Flexibility on Personnel Performance of Student Affairs and Services Officer in the State University Campuses
Abstract
This study examines the impact of service capability and organizational flexibility on personnel performance in student affairs and services at state university campuses.Using a causal research design, the study identifies how service capability, including competence, efficiency, effectiveness, and responsiveness, along with organizational flexibility in operational, structural, technological, and financial aspects, influences personnel performance.Data was collected from 149 service personnel using descriptive research methods and analyzed using multiple regression analysis. Results indicate that personnel assessed their performance as highly capable in areas such as competency, efficiency, and effectiveness, with the highest mean scores in efficiency and competency. The study found that organizational flexibility, particularly in operational and structural domains, significantly contributed to personnel performance.Financial flexibility, though crucial, was identified as an area with moderate improvement potential.Additionally, the study highlighted the challenges of managing student engagement and diversity while fostering mental well-being.Recommendations for improving personnel performance include enhancing professional development programs, refining strategic planning, and increasing financial and technological flexibility to better support student services. These findings underscore the importance of a responsive and adaptive service capability framework that integrates both human resource management and strategic institutional flexibility.
