Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of cooperative learning models in improving passing skills in basketball games through a literature study approach. Passing is one of the crucial basic skills in basketball, but many students or novice players still have difficulty mastering it. Cooperative learning models, such as Jigsaw, Think-Pair-Share, and Team Games Tournament, offer a teamwork-based approach that can improve technical, social, and motivational aspects in sports learning. The research method was carried out systematically by identifying, selecting, and analyzing various relevant literature sources. The results of the study showed that the cooperative learning model was proven to be effective in improving passing speed and accuracy, encouraging teamwork, and increasing student motivation and participation. This study also revealed the importance of adjusting the method to the level of student skills and the need for innovation in variations of cooperative-based exercises. Thus, the cooperative learning model is recommended as an alternative teaching strategy in physical education to develop competent and collaborative basketball players.
