Abstract

World Obesity Day started in 2015 to raise awareness about obesity and promote practical ways to reach and maintain a healthy body weight. This is a way to deal with the global problem of obesity. Every year on March 4, it is celebrated. The theme for World Diabetes Day from 2024 to 2026, including 2026, is “Diabetes and Well-being.” This theme focuses on the physical, mental, and social aspects of managing diabetes and raising awareness about how it affects people of all ages. In some years, like 2025, there will be a special focus on workplace support. Agni, or metabolic function, can be disturbed by rapid industrial growth, stress at work, unhealthy eating habits, not getting enough exercise, and eating too much fast food, packaged meals, fizzy drinks, and preserved foods. Ayurveda calls Sthaulya a sickness condition that happens when the body’s metabolism is out of equilibrium. Classical Ayurvedic texts, especially Rasatarangini, indicate that Rasasindhur is advantageous in the treatment of Sthaulya. Consequently, this study was conducted to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of Rasasindhur in individuals afflicted with Sthaulya.
