Abstract

Ayurveda emphasizes a holistic view of health by maintaining balance at physical, mental, and functional levels. In the present era, students are exposed to constant academic pressure, competition, and lifestyle disturbances, especially during examination periods. These factors can influence normal physiological functioning of the body. Raktavaha srotas is responsible for circulation and maintenance of Rakta dhatu, which plays a vital role in sustaining life. Psychological stress, improper food habits, irregular routine, and emotional disturbances are described as important causative factors for Raktavaha srotas dushti. Each individual responds differently to stress depending upon their Prakruti. Prakruti represents the inherent constitution of a person, formed by the dominance of one or more doshas. The present observational study was conducted to evaluate the occurrence of Raktavaha srotas dushti in students during examination stress and to assess its relationship with different Prakruti types.
