Clinical evaluation of Bala Taila Yoni Parishechan in the Management of Vataj Yoniroga
Abstract
Women encounter multiple physiological transitions during their lifetime, making them vulnerable to disorders of the reproductive system. Changes in lifestyle, dietary patterns, and psychological stress further contribute to the development of gynecological ailments. In Ayurveda, disorders affecting the female genital tract are grouped under Yoniroga. Among these, Vataj Yoniroga arises due to predominance of Vata dosha and presents with symptoms such as dryness, pain, numbness, frothy menstrual discharge, and generalized weakness. Bala Taila is described in classical Ayurvedic literature for conditions caused by aggravated Vata. Yoni Parishechan, a localized therapeutic procedure, enables direct action of medicated oil over the affected region. The present open clinical study was undertaken to assess the efficacy of Bala Taila Yoni Parishechan in patients suffering from Vataj Yoniroga. Significant improvement was observed in major clinical parameters following treatment, suggesting its effectiveness and safety.
