MODERN DIAGNOSTIC METHODS IN HEPATOGASTROENTEROLOGY
Abstract
Modern diagnostic methods play a crucial role in ensuring early detection and effective treatment of diseases in hepatogastroenterology. In recent years, the rapid development of medical technologies has created new opportunities for diagnosing disorders of the liver, gastrointestinal tract, biliary system, and pancreas. This article highlights the significance of contemporary laboratory and instrumental diagnostic techniques used in hepatogastroenterology. The use of biochemical blood tests, serological assays, and molecular genetic methods has expanded the possibilities for evaluating liver function, identifying viral hepatitis, and determining the degree of disease activity. Among instrumental examinations, ultrasound imaging, elastography, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging are of great importance for detecting structural changes in the liver and gastrointestinal system. Endoscopic procedures, including gastroscopy and colonoscopy, allow direct visualization of the mucosal surface and provide the possibility to obtain biopsy samples. The comprehensive use of modern diagnostic methods contributes to identifying diseases at an early stage, preventing complications, and selecting an individualized treatment strategy. Therefore, the effective application of innovative diagnostic approaches in hepatogastroenterology remains a highly relevant issue today.
