FEATURES OF THE NEONATAL PERIOD IN NEWBORN INFANTS BORN FROM MOTHERS WHO RECEIVED AND NOT RECEIVED OZONE THERAPY
Abstract
Introduction: Ozone therapy is used to treat and prevent various pathologies during pregnancy. However, its effect on the postnatal adaptation of the newborn has not been sufficiently studied. Objective: To conduct a comparative analysis of clinical and consultative indicators of the neonatal period in infants born to mothers who received and did not receive ozone therapy. Materials and methods: The main group was 45 newborns born to mothers who received ozone therapy (OG). The control group was 50 infants born to mothers who received standard therapy (NG). The assessment of the neonatal period took into account the Apgar score, physical development (body weight, height, head circumference), manifestations of adaptation syndrome (physiological weight loss, neonatal jaundice, hormonal crisis), and complications (for example, signs of perinatal nervous system damage). Results: The average Apgar score of infants in the OG group was 7.8±0.3, while in the NG group it was 7.1±0.4 (p
