COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF CLINICAL MANIFESTATIONS OF CARDIOESOPHAGEAL CANCER ACCORDING TO HISTOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS
Abstract
The study presents a comparative analysis of clinical manifestations of cardioesophageal cancer (CEC) depending on tumor histological type and grade of malignancy. A total of 467 patients were evaluated. Adenocarcinoma of the gastroesophageal junction was more frequently associated with pain syndrome and anemia, whereas squamous cell carcinoma demonstrated a higher incidence of severe dysphagia. The severity of dysphagia correlated with tumor grade (G2–G3). The findings confirm a morphofunctional relationship between tumor phenotype and clinical presentation.
