Abstract

Background: The integration of Islamic teachings and modern health practices has experienced significant development in the digital era, particularly through social media. One of the prominent figures contributing to the construction of Islamic health discourse is Zaidul Akbar through the concept of Jurus Sehat Rasulullah (JSR), which has been intensively disseminated via Instagram. This concept combines narratives of prophetic medicine (thibbun nabawi), sunnah-based dietary patterns, fasting practices, and contemporary nutritional approaches as solutions to various modern degenerative diseases. Purpose: This study aims to analyze how the concept of Islamic healthy living is constructed, narrated, and received within the digital sphere through the Instagram account. Method: The research employs a qualitative approach using netnography as its primary method. Data were collected through observation of uploaded content (feed posts, reels, captions), educational materials, and audience interactions in the comment sections over a specific period. The analysis was conducted using thematic coding and digital discourse analysis to identify narrative patterns, religious-medical legitimation strategies, and responses from the digital community. Results: The findings reveal that the JSR concept constructs health as an integral part of spiritual obedience, in which dietary habits and lifestyle practices are positioned as implementations of the Prophet’s sunnah. The narrative integrates religious arguments, clinical experience, and persuasive popular language. Instagram functions not only as a medium of education but also as a space for the formation of religious-medical authority and an Islamic healthy living community. These findings affirm that digital health da‘wah plays a significant role in shaping faith-based health practices while simultaneously generating new dynamics in the relationship between religious authority, medical knowledge, and contemporary digital culture.
