Abstract

This editorial reflection examines safety as a fragile property of interaction rather than only a technical attribute or outcome measure. It discusses how interaction breakdown, distorted feedback, institutional rigidity, and weakened repair mechanisms can create conditions for escalation and system fracture. The reflection argues that safety science has a responsibility to render such patterns intelligible without intensifying conflict.
