Abstract

Core Perspective: Clinical biomechanics is presented as an interpretive, decision-support science rather than a diagnostic tool. It focuses on the mechanical foundation of movement to explain why tissues fail and pain recurs. The Framework: Integration of Kinematics (descriptive patterns), Kinetics (force/load explanation), and Neuromuscular Control (efficiency) provides a medical-grade standard for clinical reasoning. Clinical Utility: The paper establishes a reasoning roadmap for load management, injury-risk interpretation, and progression decisions, moving beyond general exercise prescription toward "mechanical intelligence." Scope: Intended for MSc/PhD researchers and clinical physiotherapists to standardize applied biomechanics in rehabilitative settings.
