Comparing Hilbert Depth of I with Hilbert Depth of S/I (II)
Abstract
Let I be a squarefree monomial ideal in a ring of polynomials S, in n variables. We prove that if hdepth(S/I) ≤ 6 or n ≤ 9 then hdepth(I) ≥ hdepth(S/I), giving a positive answer to a problem raised in our previous paper [3].
