Unusual Variants of Spina Bifida Four Additional Cases
Abstract
Abstract: Four different atypical cases of spina bifida are reported from a tertiary institution in Kenya. These include a myelomeningocele associated with a vestigial appendage, a paravertebral myelomenin gocele, a tandem lesion, and a hamartoma within a myelomeningocele. A discussion follows on the pathogenesis of human tails, multi-site spinal dysraphism, paravertebral spina bifida and hamartoma association.
