Efectos de los regímenes de conmutación sobre los parámetros eléctricos en lámparas led modulares, lámparas led compactas y lámparas fluorescentes compactas
Abstract
The increasing penetration of lighting systems based on power electronics in low-voltage networks has raised concerns regarding their impact on power quality. This study experimentally evaluates the influence of different switching regimes on critical electrical parameters in lighting technologies with equal rated power, namely modular LED, compact LED, and compact fluorescent lamps with integrated electronic ballasts. Tests were conducted in a single-phase 127 V, 60 Hz circuit by connecting six lamps in parallel per technology and applying four operating regimes over twenty-four hours, including a stationary condition and three cyclic scenarios with increasing switching frequency. Measurements were performed using a class-A power quality analyzer in accordance with IEC 61000-4-7, IEC 61000-4-15, and IEC 61000-4-30, recording total harmonic distortion of voltage, third harmonic content, and long-term flicker severity index. Results indicate that modular LED lamps exhibit greater electrical stability under regime variations, whereas compact LED lamps are more sensitive during continuous operation and compact fluorescent lamps show higher flicker dispersion. Comparison against EN 50160 limits identifies critical operating scenarios and provides insight into the relationship between construction configuration and electrical response under dynamic conditions.
