Abstract

In today’s rapidly shifting financial landscape, digital transformation is no longer a destination; it is a continuous journey. Financial institutions must evolve from reactive upgrades to proactive digital strategy planning. At Travis Credit Union, a six-step framework was implemented to advance meaningful and sustainable progress in digital initiatives, reflecting this philosophy. This paper outlines that framework and offers practical guidance for financial organisations seeking to modernise with intention and purpose. The main insights from this paper include a modern framework for digital strategy and insights into conducting a digital audit, aligning internal capabilities with industry trends and fostering organisational buy-in. Readers will gain actionable strategies to initiate and sustain digital maturity, tailored to the needs of financial institutions.
