Simulación de Servidores DHCP, FTP, DNS, Correo en Cisco Packet Tracer: Su Importancia y Vulnerabilidades para generar mejores prácticas de seguridad en las empresas
Abstract
Digital transformation has increased dependence on network services like DHCP, FTP, and DNS in businesses and institutions. However, poor configuration of these services can lead to critical vulnerabilities. This research proposes using Cisco Packet Tracer to simulate enterprise environments and identify common security flaws. Simulated environments were developed to analyze attacks such as spoofing, DDoS, and DNS cache poisoning, accompanied by a technical manual of best practices. The methodological approach was applied, descriptive, and experimental. Results show that over 70% of vulnerabilities can be mitigated by applying robust configurations such as multifactor authentication, firewalls, and IDS/IPS monitoring. A Pareto chart and probabilistic analysis were used to identify the most frequent attacks, proposing a risk prioritization system.
