Abstract

Subject of study. Features of the cryptocurrency market of Ukraine as a holistic sphere, its trends and development dynamics. The aim of the study. To form a detailed study of the future implementation and development of cryptocurrencies in Ukraine and the world. To investigate the specifics and trends of the cryptocurrency market development in Ukraine. Research methods. The theoretical and methodological basis of this study is the fundamental theses of modern economic theory, scientific works of prominent domestic and foreign researchers who consider aspects of the formation and evolution of the cryptocurrency market. Results of work. In the process of the study, it was determined that the advantages of cryptocurrencies are the lack of external or internal management, anonymity, investment opportunities and relative reliability, indirectness, independence from political conditions, efficiency, simplicity and accessibility of cross-border payments, and opportunities for traders to earn on cryptocurrency exchanges. However, despite all its advantages, cryptocurrency also has many disadvantages, which makes it a rather risky means of investment, namely its insecurity as a means of payment, on which traditional currencies are built. At the same time, the development of the cryptocurrency market, namely the growth of virtual assets, requires the constant development of cryptography, legislation and regulation, adequate cryptographic protection, as well as infrastructure. And it is in this case that cryptocurrencies will occupy an increasingly important place in the lives of Ukrainians in terms of exchange processes and overall capitalization.
