Abstract

Collaborative security management has become an essential approach to building a relationship of trust between citizens and security forces. In this context, it is essential that the community and public security institutions work together, sharing information, resources and responsibilities. This partnership is crucial as it allows security forces to better understand citizens' needs and concerns, resulting in more effective and targeted actions. The active participation of society in public security decisions and actions contributes to the creation of a safer and more harmonious environment. Furthermore, collaboration between citizens and security agents facilitates the flow of information, allowing for a more agile response to risk situations and crime prevention. Strengthening this collaboration not only improves the perception of security, but also increases the effectiveness of implemented policies and strategies. When citizens feel part of the process, there is a significant increase in trust in institutions, resulting in a positive cycle of cooperation and security. Mutual trust between the community and security forces is, therefore, a central element in collaborative management. This management model not only promotes a culture of shared security, but also encourages citizens to become allies in the fight against crime.
