Abstract

ABSTRACT This article aims to analyze how the PDCA Cycle (Plan, Do, Check, and Act) can promote participatory management at Fueth Paulo Mourão State School in the year 2024. The study adopts a qualitative approach, with data collected through questionnaires and interviews applied to the school staff, comprising the management team, pedagogical and administrative staff, teachers, life assistants, and school support personnel. The results indicate that, although the PDCA Cycle is recognized as a relevant tool for participatory management, its implementation faces challenges related to the centralization of decision-making, limitations of physical and human resources, and communication difficulties. However, when applied in a structured manner, the PDCA Cycle enhances communication, increases the participation of the school staff in decision-making processes, and contributes to the organization of pedagogical and administrative actions. It is concluded that the integration of the PDCA Cycle into participatory management strengthens the effectiveness of school management, provided that the identified structural and organizational barriers are overcome.
