Abstract

This study investigates learning disorders and difficulties in Elementary Education I in public schools in Manaus, Brazil, highlighting their pedagogical implications and impact on the teaching-learning process. Using a qualitative, descriptive, and exploratory approach, data were collected through document analysis and teacher experiences, focusing on reports from 2019 and results from the interdisciplinary Geography teaching in the 2020 “Aula em Casa” Project. The findings reveal distinctions between learning disorders and learning difficulties, identify pedagogical challenges such as bullying and teacher mental health issues, and emphasize the importance of teacher perception in guiding students. The study underscores the need for inclusive pedagogical practices, adequate resources, and family-school collaboration to promote effective learning and support students with diverse educational needs. These results contribute to the development of strategies aimed at enhancing educational equity and fostering meaningful learning experiences for all students.
