ОСОБЛИВОСТІ КОМОРБІДНОСТІ ЦУКРОВОГО ДІАБЕТУ ТА АРТЕРІАЛЬНОЇ ГІПЕРТЕНЗІЇ (Огляд літератури)
Abstract
Comorbidity of diabetes mellitus and arterial hypertension is a pressing issue of modern internal medicine, given their high prevalence, common pathogenetic mechanisms and synergistic negative impact on cardiovascular morbidity. According to research, arterial hypertension is detected in 2/3 of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, and the combination of these conditions significantly increases the risk of developing macro- and microvascular complications. In the pathogenesis of comorbidity of diabetes mellitus and arterial hypertension, insulin resistance, chronic inflammation, endothelial dysfunction and oxidative stress play a key role. These mechanisms mutually potentiate each other, contributing to the progression of vascular wall remodeling, nephropathy and atherosclerotic arterial damage.
