Abstract

A six-compartmental deterministic mathematical model for Dengue Fever was formulated and the model describes the interactions between human and vector populations in the model, we considered transmission of dengue virus in the vectors population and control measures to avoid dengue virus transmission. Existence and uniqueness of solution of the system of equation that the model comprises were obtained. The basic reproduction number of the model was ascertained using “next-generation matrix” method, we found disease free equilibrium and endemic equilibrium points of the model. And also determined the values of parameters for dengue fever transmission. Numerical simulation was found, and we shows the effects of control measures on the model compartments, with graphical results. Recommendation for reducing and eradicating Dengue Fever transmission is provided.
