IMPACT OF AI ON CREATIVE ARTS EDUCATION AND POTENTIAL LITERATURE
Abstract
This study examine the impact of artificial intelligence on creative arts education and potential literature selected tertiary institutions in Kogi State, Nigeria. The research adopts a quantitative design, employing structured questionnaires to collect data from 5000 respondents, including students, lecturers, and instructors actively involved in AI-assisted creative and literary activities. The study examines how AI tools, such as generative design software, digital music and media platforms, and AI-assisted literature applications, influence students’ creative skill development, engagement, learning commitment, and literary creativity. Data analysis was conducted using SmartPLS, which facilitated the evaluation of measurement reliability and validity through outer loadings, Cronbach’s alpha, composite reliability, and average variance extracted, as well as structural equation modeling to test hypothesized relationships. The findings reveal that AI-Assisted Teaching and Learning has the strongest positive effect on creative and literary outcomes, followed by Self-Efficacy, Learning Commitment, and Creative Skill Development. The results indicate that AI integration enhances students’ originality, skill acquisition, innovation, and overall performance in creative arts and literature. The study concludes that the effective adoption of AI in creative arts education significantly improves learning outcomes and fosters literary and artistic innovation. Recommendations include training educators on AI tools, promoting active student engagement, fostering commitment to continuous learning, and integrating AI strategies into institutional policies to maximize its impact on creative arts education and potential literature.
