Gestión institucional innovadora y emprendimiento educativo sostenible: estrategias para el desarrollo de competencias emprendedoras en entornos académicos.
Abstract
Contemporary education faces the challenge of preparing students to operate in complex, changing, and sustainability-oriented contexts. Within this framework, this study examines how innovative institutional management can serve as a strategic axis for promoting sustainable educational entrepreneurship and the development of entrepreneurial competencies in academic environments. The research is based on the premise that educational institutions do more than transmit knowledge; they shape learning ecosystems where organizational culture, pedagogical leadership, and the integration of active methodologies directly influence students’ ability to generate initiatives with social, economic, and environmental impact. A mixed-methods approach was adopted, combining quantitative and qualitative analyses. A total of 120 students participated, and the data revealed high levels of perception regarding innovative management practices, institutional support, and the development of sustainable entrepreneurial competencies. The findings indicate that institutional leadership practices, curricular innovation, digital integration, and community engagement are key factors in consolidating an entrepreneurial culture within the institution. Qualitative results further highlight the relevance of collaborative spaces and socially meaningful projects in strengthening students’ autonomy, creativity, and ethical responsibility. The study concludes that the articulation between institutional management, pedagogical innovation, and sustainability not only enhances teaching–learning processes but also supports the formation of individuals capable of undertaking responsible and transformative initiatives. These findings provide evidence for the design of educational policies and school management models oriented toward the development of sustainable entrepreneurial competencies.
