Abstract
Urechia was a complex personality of the modern age.He entered the Romanian cultural pantheon through his significant contribution to the institutional and cultural modernization of the country, as well as through his contribution to the fulfillment of the political objectives of his time, namely: achieving the union of the Principalities and obtaining state independence.
