Abstract

A Generative artificial intelligence is transforming business innovation processes, raising questions about its role as a tool or co-creative agent. This study proposes a conceptual framework that reconceptualizes generative AI as a co-creator in business model ideation and validation processes. Through a narrative literature review of recent work (2019-2025) and conceptual analysis of applied cases, three fundamental dimensions are identified: (1) AI as creativity amplifier in idea generation, (2) AI as facilitator in business assumption validation, and (3) AI as mediator in design-validation iterations. Results reveal productive tensions between human autonomy and algorithmic dependence, as well as ethical implications in creative authorship attribution. The proposed framework integrates perspectives of poietic symbiosis and self-directed learning, suggesting that co-creation effectiveness depends more on prompt engineering strategies and algorithmic literacy than on technical model capabilities. It is concluded that generative AI functions optimally as a collaborative partner when there is balance between strategic human guidance and computational exploration, with significant implications for entrepreneurship education and contemporary business practice
