The Development Of Daarun Nahwi Monopoly As A Learning Media For Teaching Arabic Grammar (Nahwu) At The Secondary Education Level
Abstract
Learning Nahwu at the secondary education level still faces various challenges, such as the dominance of lecture-based methods, an emphasis on memorizing grammatical rules, and the limited use of engaging and interactive learning media. These conditions have an impact on students’ low motivation and participation in the learning process. This study aims to develop a learning media called Daarun Nahwi Monopoly and to examine its feasibility and practicality in teaching Arabic grammar (Nahwu) at the secondary education level. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model, which consists of the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data were collected through material expert validation questionnaires, media expert validation questionnaires, teacher and student response questionnaires, observation, and documentation. The data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative analysis by converting the scores into percentage values. The results showed that the Daarun Nahwi Monopoly learning media obtained a material expert validation score of 88% and a media expert validation score of 92%, both of which fall into the very feasible category. In addition, teacher responses reached 90%, and student responses reached 89%, indicating a very practical category. These findings indicate that the Daarun Nahwi Monopoly learning media is valid, practical, and can be used as an innovative alternative to improve students’ engagement and understanding in learning Nahwu. This study contributes to the development of board game–based Nahwu learning media that is systematic, contextual, and relevant to the needs of Arabic language learning at the secondary education level.
