Submission to the Parliamentary inquiry into Australia’s youth justice and incarceration system

Australia’s youth justice system cannot be fixed without addressing the growing evidence that schools are now a major pipeline into detention, and that well-designed, properly resourced educational interventions are among the most effective levers to reduce youth incarceration and its intergenerational harms.
