Accept rejection to get published : submissions, scope, and scholarly survival
Abstract
Academic publishing isn’t just about having good ideas. It’s about learning how journals and peer review actually work, and accepting that rejection is part of the job. Journals have scopes, limits, politics, and timing; a “no” is rarely a verdict on the work itself. Peer review is a sometimes clumsy conversation that forces arguments to stand up for themselves. Most published papers survive multiple rejections. Revision isn’t a consolation prize; it’s the work.
