Abstract

A 3D printed PETG-nHA-CoI scaffold with cancellous bone-like architecture and hydrophilic surface was successfully developed. The scaffold demonstrated high geometric fidelity, hydrophilicity and cell adhesion. Future studies conducted on this platform will determine the suitability of this PETG-nHA/Col scaffold to effectively model a mesenchymal stem cell-favorable bone marrow environment in vitro. Ultimately, we plan to use this family of scaffolds to investigate early-stage interactions between breast cancer cells and MSCs during BCBM progression.
