Abstract

During the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic, emergency department clinicians faced challenges making critical patient care decisions without much evidence. Quickly and efficiently spreading new knowledge was critical for saving lives. This document, one in a series, lists strategies for journal and preprint editors to strengthen the process of sharing and applying emerging knowledge on patient care before and during public health emergencies.
