Abstract

The object of this research is modern crisis culture, also called ersatz-culture, characterized by the simulation of various cultural processes and imitation of creation as an ontological source of culture. The subject of the research is graphomancy as a cultural phenomenon that encompasses many areas of human activity related to literature and, in general, creation. Graphomancy as a low-artistic multi-writing is justified as one of the forms of pseudo-creation. A significant part of such research consists of literary works and critical articles, which analyze the aesthetic features of specific artwork, while the question of the essential characteristics of the phenomenon of graphomancy remains not fully disclosed. The research objective is to attempt a comprehensive understanding of the phenomenon of graphomancy, to explicate its essential characteristics and philosophical foundations. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the development of a detailed list of essential indicators of graphomancy, included in the ontological, epistemological, axiological, anthropological, praxeological, ethical and aesthetic foundations of graphomancy. It is worth noting that the philosophical reflection of the graphomancy phenomenon makes it possible to identify the features of its existence in the modern socio-cultural space and expand its theoretical understanding, while drawing demarcation lines between authentic and graphomaniacal artworks by specific authors is the prerogative of cultural and art research. The article offers a consolidated definition of graphomancy, reveals the specific features and spheres of graphomancy, highlights the problems of modern literary criticism and provides modern typologies of graphomancy. In addition, a meta-classification of the phenomenon under study is being developed, including student, natural, painful, sincere, conceptual, stylized, digital, ideological, professional, institutional, therapeutic and existential graphomancy. The research describes the main reasons for the formation and generalization of graphomaniacal intentions, and briefly outlines the positive aspects and dangers of graphomancy.
