A b s t r a c t. Today's economic climate has forced legislators to change their approach to succession in administrative law.What was rare just a few decades ago is now the subject of numerous transactions.This refers to the transfer of rights and obligations arising from administrative decisions.The topic of this paper is the transfer of licenecs granted under the provisions of the Polish Geological and Mining Law to a new entity.The considerations concern not so much the permissibility of such a possibility, but rather the transfer of a licence in part only.This means that after the transfer, the successor will acquire only a portion of the licence, while the remaining portion will remain in the hands of the previous entrepreneur.This article discusses the current legal status, as well as a proposed interpretation of the legal provisions that would allow for the possibility of a partial transfer of a licence.
